A series of workshops for actors during October, organised by the Drama League of Ireland.
This is a course for actors under the guidance of tutor Helena Brown from the Michael Chekhov Studio.
It will be held on Wednesday evenings during October (8, 15, 22 and 29 Oct) in St Tiernan's School, Park Vale, Dundrum from 7:45pm to 9:30pm
Michael Chekhov, the nephew of Anton Chekhov and Stanislavsky's 'most brilliant pupil', was known as one of Russia's most outstanding and innovative actors and directors. The Michael Chekhov Method offers clear and practical tools in working with imagination, feelings and atmosphere. He developed an approach to acting that affords the actor access to resources within himself - feelings, will impulses, character choices that are based not merely in personal experience but on the actor's imagination and physical life.
It is expected that interest in this course will be high, so early booking is advisable. If you are interested, send a text to the Balally mobile phone on 087-694 4088.
