Event Title: Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet
Where: Mill Theatre, Dundrum
Wednesday, 16 June 2010

A wonderfully fresh and energetic production from a cast committed to the traditional performance, beautifully costumed and lit.

The play will be staged in the Mill Theatre from Wednesday 16 to Friday 18 June at 8pm (booking office 01-296 9340 - admission: 18 / 15 with a preview on Wed, all tickets 12) and then outdoors in the grounds of Airfield House, Dundrum from Saturday 19 to Monday 21 Juneat 8pm (bookings to Jean at 01-295 6015or 086-178 5159 - admission: 10 and 12).

The play will feature plenty of on-stage battles, sword fights, drumming, male group choreography, a masked ball for the ladies...... This will be a muscular production on the lives of the families - Mercutio and Tybalt, the feuding Capulets and Montagues - less romance and tragedy - more West Side Story than Baz Lurhman.

In 'Romeo and Juliet', Shakespeare vividly captures the beauty, intimacy and ultimate fragility of young love in a hostile world.
