Balally Players Open Night will take place on Wed 1st September, 8.30pm in St Olaf's GAA Club. The programme for the year will be outlined so if you are interested in directing or have ideas you'd like to see implemented give me a call in the next week. Past, present and future Balally Players members are invited to meet and mingle.

Jean Monahan starts work in September on plans to take a One Act Play out on the Drama Circuit in November. The play is 'Like a Virgin' and Jean is looking for 5 actors - 2 girls (playing age late teens), 1 man (mid twenties to mid thirties), a mother and a father.

There will be a Pub Quiz in The Rockfield Lounge, Dundrum - 8.00pm on Wed 8th September to raise funds for the All Ireland Drama Finals in The Mill Theatre, Dundrum. The Rockfield Lounge is just beside the Balally Luas stop, across from the Dundrum Town Centre. It would be great if you could come and bring your friends and family to fill a table or two (4 per table) to help meet our target of 40 tables.

Brian Molloy is casting 'Time Flies' and wants to catch 1 male mayfly, 1 female mayfly and an older male to play the part of David Attenborough. 'Time Flies' is a sweet romance about two angst-ridden mayflies who discover in the middle of their first date that their life span is only one day. That doesn't leave much time for foreplay. It's a play that truly tests the old cliché: Live every day as if it's your last. The Cast is one Male Mayfly and one Female Mayfly (same age bracket) and an Actor to play David Attenborough!
